FYI, the community council looks at data on a school level and determines how to use funds to help students and the school reach goals that the community council sets.  This year we are purchasing: 1. new apple products to help our Kindergarten and 1st grade manage and better use the ipads for students, 2. Fluency Tutor which helps students become more fluent readers and allows teachers access to students reading passages in order to have a focused direction for each student, 3. purchase the use of Dibels to assess eash student in the school with fluency and other reading aspects, 4. books for our home reading library and guided reading libraries as well as books for each student for our annual book club party, 5. sending staff to the rural school conference to help us improve our reading and math instruction and use of technology, 6. providing two professional development days for teachers to plan, assess and improve our reading and math intervention programs, 7. pay teachers to hold a summer school reading program a couple hours a day two days per week and for 6 weeks in the summer,  8.hiring and paying a paraprofessional to assist the staff in developing and maintaining the reading and math interventions throughout the school year, 9. purchase a document camera for a classroom, 10. purchased chromebooks for all 6th grade students 11. purchase 2 interactive whiteboard for the classrooms in most need, 12. purchased new updates for all interactive whiteboard programs to enable successful use of that equipment in our reading and math instruction, 13. purchased reading and writing teacher resources for Kindergarten 14. purchased Keyboarding Without Tears and Handwriting Without Tears to achieve goals that we have set in keyboarding and to improve handwriting.    15. We will purchase classroom writing supplies, 16. We will purchase a large format printer.  16. We will purchase an online keyboarding program.  17. We will go on an academic field trip.  We had approximately $70,800 that we could use to implement our plan.

Procedures at Eureka Elementary.  

1.  All Parents need to come into the office to check out their students. You will no longer be able to go to the classroom to get your student.

2. There will be no change given in the office, all payments must be exact cash or a check.

3. All PTO and picture checks need to be made out to Eureka PTO and Memory Lane.

Substitute Bus Driver 

Terms of Employment:

  1. $16.30/Hour
  2. Hours will vary

Description:

Substitute Bus Drivers will be responsible for safely transporting students on scheduled bus routes and/or during activities such as field trips and sporting events on an as needed basis. Substitute Bus Drivers will assist in general maintenance of the school buses and ensure all buses are in safe operating condition. Prior driving experience is not required. Successful applicant will be eligible for District-paid bus driver training.     

Job Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent
  2. BCI background check and clearance (Provided by District)
  3. Minimum of 21 years of age
  4. Valid Utah Driver’s license
  5. Pass a DOT Physical (Reimbursed by District)

Location:
Tintic School District schools and buildings in Eureka and the West Desert area.
