NOTICE OF ELECTION

Notes will be going home about commnity council.  We need two more parents on the council this year.  Please submit your name on the form your child brings home or go to the office to fill one out on or before August 29th.  Elections will be on August 30th from 8AM to 3:20 PM.

FYI, the community council looks at data on a school level and determines how to use funds to help students and the school reach goals that the community council sets.  This year we are purchasing a new Smart Panel in 4th grade, new software for math assessments and supplemental instruction, Kindergarten and 1st grade are going to have new ipad minis for those teachers to use with their classes and the 2nd grade classroom is going to have student touch Chromebooks.  We also are puchasing fluency tutor and we have hired a reading specialist to help us with our reading groups even more.  We had approximately $42,000 that we could use to implement our plan.

The Council meetings will be at 4PM in the 6th grade classroom on the following days:
Tuesday, January 10th (Canceled)
Tuesday, February 21st
and Tuesday, April 4th
