FYI, the community council looks at data on a school level and determines how to use funds to help students and the school reach goals that the community council sets.  This year we are purchasing: 1. new apple products to help our Kindergarten and 1st grade manage and better use the ipads for students, 2. Fluency Tutor which helps students become more fluent readers and allows teachers access to students reading passages in order to have a focused direction for each student, 3. purchase the use of Dibels to assess eash student in the school with fluency and other reading aspects, 4. books for our home reading library and guided reading libraries as well as books for each student for our annual book club party, 5. sending staff to the rural school conference to help us improve our reading and math instruction and use of technology, 6. providing two professional development days for teachers to plan, assess and improve our reading and math intervention programs, 7. pay teachers to hold a summer school reading program a couple hours a day two days per week and for 6 weeks in the summer,  8.hiring and paying a paraprofessional to assist the staff in developing and maintaining the reading and math interventions throughout the school year, 9. purchase a document camera for a classroom, 10. updated teacher desktop computers to sync with school-wide communication and systems already in place, 11. purchase 1 interactive whiteboard for the classroom in most need, 12. purchased new updates for all interactive whiteboard programs to enable successful use of that equipment in our reading and math instruction, 13. funds available to help 6 teachers enroll and start classes to achieve a STEM endorsement as well as to purchase some STEM items to enhance what we do in each classroom, 14. purchased Keyboarding Without Tears and Handwriting Without Tears to achieve goals that we have set in keyboarding and to improve handwriting.    We had approximately $63,481 that we could use to implement our plan.

This year there are new procedures at Eureka Elementary.

1.  All Parents need to come into the office to check out their students. You will no longer be allowed to go to the classroom to get your student.

2. There will be no change given in the office, all payments must be exact cash or a check.

3. All PTO and picture checks need to be made out to Eureka PTO and Memory Lane.

Thank you for your cooperation in these matters.
